Trio Teleboteco plays Choro, a Brazilian instrumental genre that has its roots in the late 19th century as an amalgamation of African rhythms and European classical music. A lively and cheerful beat, improvisation, and typical Brazilian instrumentation characterise it.
Choro is the very first authentic Brazilian genre and we are well established playing this music in Sydney with various ensambles since 2012. With Trio Teleboteco we explore a repertoire of classics & contemporary composers, presenting a very intimate show with the core elements of the genre: melody, harmony and percussion.
The trio also offers a repertoire of samba classics, bossa novas & other Brazilian rhythms.

Tech requirements:
- 3x channels in a mixer (one of them has to have phantom power)
- 1x mic lead for pandeiro (skinned tambourine percussion instrument)
- 1x mic lead for guitar (has his own DI)
- 1x DI + mic lead for mandolin
- 3x foldbacks for monitoring
- Access to power point
- 3 chairs
