More Info

Q: Are there any hidden costs in addition to the prices you have quoted?

A: No. The price quoted includes all the specifics asked and agreed upon with the client.

Q. How far do you travel?

A: We travel wide and far. Depending on travel arrangements we are available from National and International.

Q: Can we see the band perform live before booking them?

A: We play throughout a number of venues throughout the year. Please contact us to see if any of our gigs are near you.

Q: Does the band have any requirements that we need to consider?

A: There are a number of basic requirements that the band will need in order to perform, however the band will come as a full package including PA, lighting and power leads (power will need to be supplied by client or venue). Other considerations are normally discussed with the band prior to booking so the client can be completely informed.

Q. Are we required to provide a stage for your musicians to perform on?

A. No. The band is able to perform with or without staging, whether your event is indoors or outdoors. If the venue has a stage already provided, or if you would prefer the band to perform on a stage, then we are more than happy to use one. We will never insist on one being provided though. All we ask is that there is enough space for the musicians to set up.

Q. Do your musicians provide their own sound and lighting equipment?

A. Yes the band is completely sufficient to play small to medium sized venues with their own PA and lighting. If amplification and lighting is required for a larger venue we will inform the client of the additional cost.

Q: We have had a lower quote from another band. Why should we pay a higher price for your band?

A: It is entirely up to the client to choose the right band for their function or event. Our pricing is reasonable and competitive and musicians also need to get paid.

Q: How much time do you need to set up and pack down?

A: This is a venue specific question and it depends on the ease of access and stage situation. In general it will be between 60-90 minutes. This time includes a sound check to ensure sound levels are appropriate. Depending on the arrangement and the venue the band can set up hours prior to a gig as to prevent unnecessary crowding of the venue.

Q. How much do you charge for your band?

A. This is dependent on a number of factors. The best way to find out more information and a full breakdown of prices is to contact us with your details and we will email a full no-obligation quote to you.

Q. I would like to request some songs that are not on your playlist, can you learn these with the band for my function?

A. Yes, we do requests providing that the band has been given a suitable timeframe in order to rehearse songs, this can be discussed during the booking process but needs to be confirmed at the time of booking.

Q. We have heard stories about bands pulling out of events at the last minute. What if this happens?

A. If in the unlikely event the band has to cancel a booking we will refund 100% of all fees paid to that point and will also endeavor to find a replacement band

Q. How do we confirm our booking and pay?

A. All we need to confirm a booking is for you to complete our confirmation form after you have discussed your requirements with us. Once we have received this, the band is confirmed and will not be able to take enquiries for any other event on that date.

Electrical
A minimum of 2 (two) separate 10A sockets (not one socket with an extension lead) on the same phase. This supply must be able to cope with up to 3KW of power usage. If a venue does not have power to the site the band may hire a suitable generator to supply power, this extra cost will be charged to the client. Venues will also require a suitable electrical grid with safety switches in place as per Australian Electrical Standard (AS) to prevent electrical hazards. All the band electrical equipment has been test and tagged to ensure electrical safety during performances. If the event is an outdoor event without power supply the client will need to arrange for a suitable generator to be present.
Stage size/performance area
A safe performance area is required with a MINIMUM width of 3 meters and a MINIMUM length of 4 meters for the 4-piece band, however larger is appreciated. The band requires solid flooring either raised or at ground level in order to protect the electrical equipment and instruments from dust/moisture/dirt. Additional to the flooring, if the event is an outdoor event shading/shelter needs to be provided by the client. If the client is unable to provide flooring and/or shading they need to let The Band know prior to the event so this can be hired. The cost of equipment hire will be charged to the client.
Parking
The band members will need to park as close to the performance area/stage access as possible in order to unload equipment. Close access to the stage for unloading will make load-in time much quicker. If the band has to carry equipment for a significant distance in order to access the stage area then this will significantly increase load in time required. The band can share vehicles however it should be assumed that a space for each member is available.
Back Stage
A secured room/space is required for sole use of the band. This will be to change in, eat any food provided, leave bags/cases and leave valuable belongings whilst performing. This room should also have a table and enough chairs for the whole band. Our insurance will not cover theft from an unlocked room.
Refreshments
During the booking process the client needs to discuss food and beverage requirements for the band. In general it is assumed that if guests are being supplied with food the band is also supplied with food.
Logistics
For full set up of PA system, lighting and band equipment, 90 minutes is required in order to set up and perform a sound check. This time may increase if the loading access is not adequate. If PA system and lighting is provided at the event then the musicians will only require 45 minutes. A minimum of 30 minutes break is also needed between each set.
Safety
It is the responsibility of the client to provide appropriate supervision of their guests. The client agrees to make sure that no unauthorized person will touch any of the band’s instruments, sound or lighting equipment at any time before, during or after the performance. Should any of the band’s instruments or equipment be damaged by a guest at the event the bill for repair will be the responsibility of the client. This applies even if the client is not present at the time of damage. In those cases where the band has agreed for the client to use a microphone for announcements or speeches, the client will take full responsibility for any damage caused to this equipment during that period.
Venue Constraints
Please check with your venue to be aware of any sound limitations and times that these could apply to. This may hinder the performance from the band, the client should communicate to the band whether volume is not appropriate or in breach of levels. Please check with your venue before confirming your booking. Please also ensure that your venue has the appropriate license for a live musical performance of this type. If problems arise with the venue that cannot be resolved, and a performance from the band is then deemed impossible, the standard cancellation fee will apply (deposit)
