This Glasgow-born musician swapped the driech drizzle of Scotland for the sunny shores of Sydney and hasn’t looked back. His upbeat, contemporary style brings new audiences to Scottish and Irish folk classics, while his heartfelt vocal renditions of Caledonia and Loch Lomond transport listeners back to bonnie Scotland.

Graeme, affectionately known as 'The Scotsman', is a Glasgow-born musician, ceilidh dance callerand event planner with a passion for community dancing and traditional folk music. Since arriving in Australia in 2021, he has become a regular in the folk festival scene, and runs lively and inclusive ceilidh dances all around the country.

His warm demeanor and raport with crowds ensures everyone has a great time at any event he attends .From lively Irish classics to 200 year-old heartfelt Scottish ballads and upbeat cover songs, Graeme can deliver an unforgettable performance filled with infectious energy, and his love for his rich Celtic musical traditions.

Since arriving in Australia in 2021, Graeme has been performing as a soloist at festivals around the country including main stage performances at Australian Celtic Festival 2022, 2023 and 2024 and CelticFest QLD 2023 as well as featured events at Melbourne Tartan Festival and Tasmanian Whisky Week.

Graeme is also a seasoned Scottish ceilidh caller with over two decades of experience organising and leading events back in his native Scotland, across Europe and in Australia. His warm, fun and informal approach aims to coax even the most reluctant of dancers onto the floor, creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.

Graeme recently released his debut album, Distant Shores, with his Tasmania based band, The Stovies with whom he does a number of ceilidh events. The Stovies specialise in beautiful 3-part harmonies and fresh takes on traditional songs.

We can provide a variety of music and dance options from solo performances through to full 5 piece bands (depending on the location) for any event across Australia.

Minimum requirement is 2 speaker PA plus foldback and 6 channel mixer. This can be provided for an additional fee and will require an additional 1 hour setup and 1 hour breakdown.
