Swinging jazz & country standards reinterpreted with the sounds of sax, cornet and steel guitar. The Hokey Carmichaels are unique on both the Australian jazz and country swing scene in that there is a blending of the smooth string sound of pedal steel guitar with horn arrangements. The group also has a nice balance of vocal tunes and instrumentals.

We work with the client to provide a great ambience and can go from laid back to swinging hard. If you want a lot of uptempo jazz and country tunes, we play as a sextet with a drummer.
We swing with a unique sound blending pedal steel guitar with horn arrangements playing popular standards that can be both vocal and instrumental.

THREE HOURS (3 x 45 minute sets):
