The Furball Express is an Adelaide band that plays more eclectic groove-driven ‘blues’ music from across the decades.
The Furball Express presents music originating from traditional plantation work chants, dusty juke joints, to the cities and steamy swamps. Think of it as a mix of delta / swampy / gospel blues styles.
The Furball Express put their own stamp on some of the great blues styles –from Bessie Smith and the gospel feel of Reverend Gary Davis in the 1920s through to Mavis Staples; the steamy swampy blues of Tony Joe White and Eric Burdon, to the great story telling groove blues of Howlin’ Wolf and Tom Waits.
