Drawing on more than 150 professional clown and improvisation performances, award-winning performer Pauline Calme brings extensive experience in physical theatre and audience engagement.

The Clown Fairy is a fairy who loves clowning around. She makes sure kids don’t grow up too much, even when they get older. She takes you on a whimsical adventure with engaging, entertaining, and hilarious games.
30 to 45min - ages 3 to 6
Example of intro of the Clown Fairy:
“I heard [name of birthday kid] is turning six.
It is catastrophi’x!
Getting older is so dangerous,
Everything gets so serious.
We are forbidden to eat Weet-Bix,
And all we talk about is logistics.
So the Birthday Fairy flew down straight away,
To ensure that on her/his/their birthday,
All her/his/their friends help her stay,
A silly-billy free thinker,
a wompy-dompy great dreamer,
So please join now, don’t be late,
Soon it’s time to eat some cake.”
Followed by clown acts to watch and interactive games to engage with.
3x4 meters square, and a mat for the kids to sit on.
Parents are responsible for their kids.
Example of games/act:
**rock, paper, scissors (5min)**: Each kid will line up and play Rock, Paper, Scissors with the Birthday Fairy to introduce themselves. You play until you win. Once everyone wins, we can go.
**Popcorn Machine (5min)**: To make sure we haven’t lost anyone in the group adventure, we’ll count ourselves. But the Birthday Fairy has a very special way to count, from one to pop and from pop to fifteen…
**Slow Motion Group Adventure (7min):** The Birthday Fairy goes first to mime the obstacles, to make sure everyone can see the invisible.
**Story Salad (parents help) (10min)**: The Birthday Fairy collects suggestions of nouns, verbs, adjectives, places and objects, and tosses them in a salad bowl. Let’s see what magical story comes out of it!
