I will give this speaking event my all and require a minimum of 30 minutes for my talk and topic. Through story telling and lived experience, I bring the tough and sometimes distant topic of addiction to every day people - because it is more prevalent than we'd like but people are in isolation and not speaking about it. This talk will bring compassion and curiosity along with some tangible tools that every day people can walk away with and take that conversation to their dinner table, work meetings and sports fields. Addiction doesn't look like the picture we might have in our minds, it looks like me, and it looks like everyone in the audience.


For large groups - please ensure a quality working microphone and sound-system is provided, along with back-ups, spare batteries, and relevant testing etc done BEFORE the event. Please ensure that this presentation does NOT clash with food service / distractions (E.g. don't book this in during 'standing drinks and nibbles'. This talking event needs a seated audience where there aren't distractions and the chance for people to be easily distracted / moving around, etc. It simply doesn't work and I cannot deliver my message in that scenario.
Depending on what talk you would like me to give, I also might need a screen to display some short videos or visuals - this is optional and we can fine tune this when planning.
I will need to know:
○ what is the 'goal' of your event?
○ what's the makeup of the crowd?
○ how many guests are you aiming for at the event?
○ is it a corporate event or is it a community event?
○ what is the seating style?
Events where alcohol is served is not a problem. I am not anti-alcohol.
