Founded in early 2025 by current JMI up and coming drummer extraordinaire Lochlan Robinson, accompanied by the incredible Sharon Elaine (trumpet/vocals), Lucius Reynolds (piano), and Isaac Warland (double bass).
Robin & Sons draws inspiration from artists of the 1950s and 60s including Art Blakey, Wayne Shorter and Hank Mobley. If you love Straight Ahead Jazz with a side of hard bop then this one’s for you!
Robin & Sons offers the full quartet with occasional special guests, as well as offering duo and trio performances to suit all venues and occasions.

Robin & Sons is an experienced and versatile jazz, Latin, and Hard-bop quartet based in Brisbane city.
All members are currently studying, or have completed studying jazz at the Jazz Music Institute.
These young professionals put forward a thrilling and creative performance tailored to any venue and for any occasion.
