A musical exploration with interwoven heartfelt stories of the life, loves and passions of the legendary NINA SIMONE. Artistic Director, Narrator and Vocalist, Christine Manetta tells Nina Simone's story through anecdote and monologue accompanied by a stellar collection of Melbourne’s most seasoned musicians, led by Musical Director Adam Rudegeair, they pay homage to Nina.
Experience a musical journey from Tribal Gospel Beginnings and Cabaret Jazz to Activist Anthems and 60’s Flower Power Hippie Songs. Songs: I Put a Spell on You, Feelin Good, Sinnerman, See-Line Woman and My Baby Just Cares for Me.

Musicians - Main Vocalist with Piano, Bass and Drums
Christine Manetta – Vocals/Narration. A Melbourne based Vocalist/Songwriter who has worked in a multitude of genres including Urban Theatre, Jazz, Blues, Pop and Soul with notable appearances at the Thornbury Theatre, Albury Entertainment Centre and Festivals at Docklands, Castlemaine, Merimbula and Port Fairy. As well as being a Curated Guest Presenter on ABC Radio (Nina Simone Tribute Programs). Christine Manetta has also emerged recently as a dynamic Songwriter. Songs from her Album ‘One Woman One Day’ being recognised in the 2021 Australian Songwriters Association Contest and winning Three Bronze Medals in the Global Music Awards 2023. With two of Nina Simone’s works featured on the Album.


The Band will provide Drum Kit, Bass Amp, Keyboard Amp and Microphones
An onsite PA and sound system (Including 2 x Front of House Speakers and 2 x Monitors) will reduce your costs, but this can also be provided.
