Laura's versatility as a musician means that she can tailor a set-list with a variety of styles to suit your event. To make this happen, Laura will have a consultation with you as early as possible after booking to find out what music you have your heart set on. Laura already has a significant repertoire under her belt, meaning that she can also demonstrate a variety of options for you to choose from.

Between learning songs and rehearsal, performing live music involves a huge amount of preparation. Laura's quote for your event is likely to be more affordable if you select from her existing repertoire. If you would like Laura to learn any specific song(s) for your event, the extra preparation time will be reflected in the price, particularly if you have chosen technically demanding pieces.

Laura speaks English, Italian and Spanish, meaning she can sing in any (or all!) of those languages for your event. Chat to Laura if you have a song request in another language and she can let you know whether she can rise to the challenge!

Please let Laura know as soon as possible if you are likely to have a rehearsal for your event, such as a wedding rehearsal. Laura is more than happy to attend provided that she doesn't have any prior commitments. Rehearsals are especially important if you need to coordinate with the music, for example, if the bridal party need to learn which line of the song is their cue to start walking.

Laura has a deep appreciation of how meaningful live music is at live events and milestones. If you hire her for your event, you can expect warmth, skill, professionalism and versatility.

Laura has professional amplification equipment that she is happy to provide for your event. Please note that her PA system requires access to a power point. In the event that one isn't available at your event location, Laura does have a smaller battery-powered option. If, however, this amplifier is not sufficient to cater to the event space, Laura will need to hire extra equipment at the customer's expense (e.g. battery pack or larger battery-powered amplifier).

Laura requires at least 45 minutes prior to the start of the event to set up equipment and conduct a soundcheck. You may need to discuss this with the venue to ensure Laura has access to the space well prior to start time. Laura is happy to position herself anywhere in the space that suits your event, however, please ensure she has enough space for equipment and to sit comfortably.

Laura has performed in both indoor and outdoor locations, however, she asks that reasonable considerations are taken into account regarding the temperature of the space and exposure to the elements. Performing in excessively cold spaces can be really tough on hands, fingers and the voice, and any injury puts a musician's livelihood and future performances at risk. Additionally, between instruments and amplification, Laura provides a lot of valuable equipment to deliver a standout performance. If there is any likelihood of rain, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that Laura's performance space has adequate cover (e.g. organising a marquee at the venue).
