A lively and interactive speaker, Haydn will challenge your audience to think beyond their current boundaries and visualise what their careers and lives could be. Seeing career and personal development as a life long process, Haydn is a current PhD candidate at Griffith University and a 2020 Churchill Fellow - yet he struggled to find relevance and meaning during his secondary education years. As a volunteer fire fighter with the SA Country Fire Service he has undertaken deployments to QLD, Victoria and NSW in support of major bushfire emergencies. In January 2020, he worked on Kangaroo Island during the most intensive of operational situations.

His engaging style and positively framed message is particularly on point for young men who may be struggling to see the point of formal learning; and who are possibly seeking a deeper meaning and direction in their life's calling - whatever that calling may turn out to be.

In his working life Haydn has had 30+ years regulatory and enforcement experience as a police officer, and customs and border protection officer.
