I had a unique career commencing as a clerk at AMP, then joining the NSW police force, working there for 20 years, and leaving in 1996 as the Commander of the Hostage NegotiationTeam. From hostage negotiation to suicidal intervention, I have personally negotiated in over 200 critical situations. Now, I am passionate in spreading my knowledge and expereience to people who want to take their negotiation/communication skills to the next level.

The presenter Steve York was excellent. We engaged Steve to be a guest speaker to kick off our classroom Leadership course which is an online classroom. The feedback in chat, and questions from participants was all positive and engaged. I really like that he started with “I will send notes after, so you don’t have to”. It’s great to just fully-listen. The topic was relevant talking about engagement and communication with people, how and when we make an impression, steps eg Contain-Clarify-Contain, do’s and don’ts when negotiating with people.
