Andy Kahle - Defying Cancer, Racing for Life

Andy Kahle is not your average girl. With an unwavering passion for motorsport, particularly drag racing, she has spent over a decade chasing her dreams on the racetrack. However, her journey took an unexpected turn when she was confronted with a fierce opponent off the track - breast cancer. In 2010, Andy's life was put on hold as she battled this aggressive disease. Yet, it was her unyielding determination and the support of the motorsport community that propelled her forward, not only surviving cancer but also thriving alongside her loving husband.

Having conquered cancer, Andy now devotes herself to empowering other families to find their own strength and passion while navigating the mentally draining battle against illness. By continuing to race and sharing her fervor with others, she maintains her own physical and mental well-being, while igniting sparks of inspiration in those who need it most.

Born in Victoria and raised in a small Pilbara town in North Western Australia, Andy is a multi-talented individual. She wears many hats - a graphic designer, artist, wife, sister, friend, daughter, and small business owner - and she takes pride in each role. Her life took a transformative turn after her 40th birthday, when she received a shocking breast cancer diagnosis despite no prior family history or personal health issues. Today, with over 13 years of being cancer-free, Andy shares her journey to encourage others to discover their passions and tap into their hidden reservoirs of strength during times of adversity.

Andy Kahle is a powerhouse of enthusiasm and passion,
a true embodiment of resilience.

Motivated by the joy she brings to others, she embraces each opportunity to make a positive impact. With unwavering determination and an unwavering smile, Andy refuses to let anything stand in her way. Supported by the motorsport community, her friends, family, and her ever-supportive husband Mick, she confronted her illness head-on while pursuing her dream of drag racing.

Following a decade of cancer-free tests and countless races, Andy and Mick felt inspired to share the strength and support they had found in the world of motorsport with other families facing similar challenges. Together, they established Therapy On Wheels, a charity dedicated to offering passenger rides in a one-of-a-kind, highly modified Supercharged Hellcat Mercedes Benz down the drag strip. Through this exhilarating experience, they aim not only to raise awareness but also to enhance the mental well-being of cancer patients and their families.
