David Hethorn is an acoustic soloist playing gigs around South East Queensland. He can also switch to DJ Davo mode later in the night.

David loves the ukulele and has performed special songs outdoors at beach weddings on uke with and without vocals.

David usually plays 3-4 hours sets with acoustic guitar and sings well known cover songs, adapting the music to suit the crowd and vibe of the day.

David will work with you to understand what you need for your event, including the location, type of event and any song requests.

Familiar singalong songs played live on acoustic guitar, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and a professional musician who adapts to the mood of your event.

Set Up Requirements

I can supply my own sound system and lighting if required. All I usually need is a standard power outlet and a dry performance area. I can also perform using a battery powered system, which works well for outdoor and beach events.

Set List

Expect all the classics, from Country Roads to Love Story, alongside current hits like Pink Pony Club and Lose Control. I also perform Australian acoustic sets featuring artists such as Pete Murray, Paul Kelly, INXS, and The Go-Betweens. For a full list of my cover songs, just ask for my Spotify playlist!

Packages

I create the music vibe you want for your wedding, party, event or venue. Chill acoustic, upbeat covers or a mix, you tell me, I play it. I can also switch to DJ Davo who will get the party started and get your guests dancing.

Insurance & Permits

I have public liability insurance and can provide the certificate of currency on request. All my electrical equipment and cables are tested and tagged.
