Dave Eastgate is the TV audience warm-up host for Australian Idol and has warmed up crowds for Australia’s Got Talent, so keeping a room buzzing is literally his job. He’s also one of Australia’s most versatile comedians and MCs. A stand-up for nearly 30 years, he’s performed across the UK, US, Japan, Singapore and Dubai, supported Jimeoin, Carl Barron, Ross Noble and Jim Jefferies, and filmed his own ABC special at the Enmore. On screen he’s appeared in Territory, Deadloch, Doctor Doctor and the Equity Award-winning The Moodys. Rock and roll in a suit, Dave is the MC who keeps your event moving and your guests laughing.

Dave has warmed up studio audiences for Australian Idol and Australia’s Got Talent, hosted the Casting Guild of Australia Awards and hosted Fanland at The Star Brisbane for NRL Magic Round. He’s comfortable with anything from a 50-person office party to a stadium crowd. He’s happy to chat beforehand to learn about your guests, your in-jokes and anything that’s off limits.
