Ben Purnell's music has rock and blues undertones with hints of folk, country, and reggae. He can play a set of originals, or 3hrs of covers.
Ben’s Solo sets are accompanied by acoustic guitar, 2 foot stomps, and vocals all played simultaneously.
The Duo is with a drummer, and sometimes with a lead guitarist (can be specified). Artists covered range from INXS, Jet, The Black Keys, Sublime, The Talking Heads, Nirvana,Stevie Wonder,Steppenwolf and Neil Young.
Ben has quite a gritty approach to music with good energy, effects pedals, light reverb on vocals, and desire to create the right sound for the room. He can use his own PA and lighting if needed. He is also in rock band Tubed Radio.

Ben will rock up an hour or more before the gig if PA supplied. 2 hours or more before if he is using his own PA. Always flexible depending on venue/event requirements, and gives back when the crowd fires up.


Solo: One vocal mic, one instrument mic (for footstomp), one input for guitar, and one input for foot stomp (Bigfoot).
Duo: 2 vocal mics, kick mic (snare mic etc), input for guitar.
(I always have 2 vocal mics, a kick mic and 2 instrument mics with me)
If using my own PA I will need power and enough space to set up front of house speakers, and ample space for the solo or duo set ups.
