BANJZIG

BANJZIG is the ‘top traditional Celtic-folk-glam-rock band in the entire central Footscray area’. They blend the sounds of the Pogues, the Dubliners, and Planxty with those of the Misfits, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and Motörhead. The band is made up of musicians from Mauritius (East Africa), Katamatite (Victoria), and ‘Parts Unknown’ (Unknown), who combine traditional Irish and Scottish instrumentation of banjos, octave mandolins, ‘banjpipes’ (synthetic Uilleann /Highland Bag Pipes), bass guitar and percussion (including larger-phone and Bodhrán).
